Western Movie Wit and Wisdom

Jim Kane

Western Movie Wit & Wisdom is a compilation of quotations from western movies ranging from the 1920s to the films of the present. Revealing Character
Texas Tintypes
Robb Kendrick

The cowboy of the 19th century gave Texas its character. His honesty, steadiness, sense of humor, work ethic and determination, created as our state grew up on the range, remain as Texans’ indigenous values. In the minds of many, the Texas Cowboy is now only myth or legend, but Robb Kendrick’s Texas Tintypes manifest what is known in the soul of Texans everywhere: the cowboy remains. Two Women Look West
Photographs of King Ranch Notecard Collection
The King Ranch

This collection of notecards was inspired by the exhibition Two Women Look West: Photographs of King Ranch. The exhibition included photographs by Helen Kleberg of King Ranch and Toni Frissell. As a teenager, Helen Kleberg took photographs of friends, landscapes, and horses using a Brownie camera. Several years later, she was still using that Brownie camera to document life on King Ranch. When she aquired her Leica, she was able to advance. She experimented with various lenses and developed many photographs in her daughter's bathtub. ... More »
