Creator of whatTraditional Homemagazine calls some of "The Most Beautiful Rooms in America," interior designer Leah Richardson has come to realize that the state of a home reflects the state of the hearts that dwell there. Her interior design, which graces some of the most stunning homes along the Gulf Coast, centers around design principles she traces back to the Bible: By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; Through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. (Proverbs 24:3-4). Now, in Interior Wisdom, Leah shows readers how to use these principles to create their own beautiful rooms and beautiful hearts to enjoy them. Interior Wisdom will encourage readers to use Christian inspiration to make a home a peaceful, beautiful haven — a sanctuary from the outside world. Leah walks the reader through every stage of the design process, from deciding it's time for a change and prep work, through developing the plan, selecting the team, and on-sight-requirements. She offers specific information and describes how to utilize information on design principles, focal points, and completing the look, and then she delves into creating special spots around the house, understanding that hospitality is a blessing not a chore, and having the confidence and freedom to live in our house our way. In each chapter she shares the ways her spiritual walk influences her design, offers beloved verses that have inspired her work and includes a centering prayer to help the reader understand what is most important about each aspect of the design process.

Interior Wisdom strikes new ground in design by going back to the original creator for inspiration.

Growing up in the Deep South, LEAH RICHARDSON was raised in a family that taught her to appreciate good design and encouraged her to develop her own personal style. Whether it was furniture, art, the written word or a beautifully appointed dinner table, Leah learned the value of "all things excellent." She received a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Georgia and a B.A. in Interior Design from the American College for the Applied Arts in Atlanta, Georgia. Leah's designs encompass well-functioning, spacious rooms; calm, neutral palettes; an abundance of natural light; and a "whole-house/whole-life" point of view.

Leah is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Her work has been published in various magazines, such asTraditional HomeandBirmingham Magazine. She lectures widely with Leah Richardson Ministries and she designs bookmarks, greeting cards and other specialty products for her line jc&me Designs. She lives with her husband, Jim, in New Orleans. Colleen Duffley is versatile photographer whose portfolio includes lifestyle, fashion, food and of course, interiors. She has shot countless magazine covers and has a great eye for light and detail.

Leah Richardson is a BRIGHT STAR.
